Legal & Privacy

How Quant FX is paid, how we handle your personal data, and how we use cookies. These documents apply to your use of this website and our services.

Fees and Conflicts of Interest

1. How the arrangement works

Quant FX is an Introducing Broker with Vantage markets, a regulated CFD broker.

You open a trading account in your own name with Vantage and fund it yourself. Your money stays in your account, under your control, at all times. Quant FX never holds, receives or takes custody of client funds, and never processes payments. We do not see or store your card details, bank details or payment credentials.

Our strategy, provided by SB Quant strategies, executes trades on your account through MetaTrader 5. You retain the ability to withdraw your funds and to end the arrangement.

2. How we are paid

We are paid in two ways. Both are set out here in full.

Performance fee

We charge a performance fee on net weekly profit only, subject to a high-water mark. If your account does not make a net profit in a given week, no performance fee is charged. The performance fee can be subject to change.

The high-water mark means that after a losing period, we earn no performance fee until your account has recovered past its previous peak. You never pay a performance fee twice on the same gains.

The fee is calculated and deducted by Vantage on Sundays, not by us. We receive the resulting amount.

There are no upfront fees, no management fees, and no subscription charges.

Rebate from Vantage

As an Introducing Broker, we also receive a rebate from Vantage based on the volume traded on your account.

This rebate is paid to us by Vantage out of its own trading revenue. It is not charged to you, does not appear on your account, and does not increase your trading costs. Your spreads and commissions are the same as they would be if you had opened a trade on your account with Vantage directly.

3. The conflict of interest this creates, and how we manage it

We think you should understand this rather than discover it. Because part of our income is linked to trading volume, we earn more when the strategy trades more. That is a conflict between our revenue and your interest in not being overtraded. We manage it as follows.

Position sizing is fixed to your capital

We trade 0.01 lots per $1,000 of account capital. This is a fixed rule, applied to every account.

Position size is therefore determined by the size of your account, not by us. We cannot increase our rebate income by trading larger positions on your account, because we do not choose the position size — your capital does.

You can verify this yourself at any time from your own trade history in MetaTrader 5.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not hold or custody your funds

  • We do not process payments or hold your payment details

  • We do not calculate our own performance fee

  • We do not charge management, subscription or upfront fees

  • We do not choose position sizes independently of your account capital

Privacy Policy

Quant FX is committed to protecting the privacy of all personal information which it obtains from you, including the information obtained during your visits to this website or the provision of other services to you.

1. Quant FX privacy policy

Quant FX is an Introducing Broker with Vantage, a regulated CFD broker. We introduce clients to Vantage, and our strategy operates through the trading account you hold in your own name with them.

Quant FX does not hold client funds and does not process payments. All deposits, withdrawals and fee settlement are handled by Vantage through your account with them, which means we never see or store your card details, bank details or payment credentials.

Information we receive from Vantage. In accordance with our Introducing Broker agreement, we may receive limited information about your account activity from Vantage and from the trading platform — for example your account balance, equity, open positions, closed trade history and trading volume. We use this to operate the strategy on your account and to monitor its performance. We also receive records of the amounts paid to us by Vantage.

Vantage handles your data separately. Vantage collects and processes personal data about you directly — including the identity verification and financial information it is required by law to obtain — as a separate and independent data controller. Vantage’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one, and we recommend you read it before opening an account.

This policy covers only the personal data that we collect and process. For details of how we are paid and how we manage the conflicts of interest arising from our Introducing Broker relationship, see our Fees and Conflicts of Interest section above.

2. Commitment

Quant FX is committed to protecting the privacy of all personal information which it obtains from you, including the information obtained during your visits to this website or the provision of other services to you. Quant FX will only use your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and otherwise in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013, as amended from time to time.

3. Quant FX collects personal information

Quant FX collects certain personal information in order that it may meet the needs of its customers. By collecting certain personal information, Quant FX can monitor and improve the services which it offers to its existing and potential customers. We will use this information for the following purposes: establishing and connecting your account, providing our services to you, improving our services, respond to your enquiry and provide information about the service, receive and review account activity data from Vantage under our Introducing Broker agreement, send you service updates and operational notices, privacy-preserving website analytics, Google Analytics and any other cookie-based analytics, establish, exercise or defend legal claims and regulatory notifications and marketing.

Our service uses an automated trading system linked to Vantage. Trading decisions are generated by our strategy and applied proportionally across client accounts according to the capital allocated. These are decisions about market positions, not decisions about you as an individual, and they are not based on a profile built from your personal data.

4. What information does Quant FX obtain?

Some of our providers and third parties are established outside the UK, and some store data outside the UK — including in the United States. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.

9. Cookies

Quant FX uses cookies to gather information about your access to this website and other services we provide to you. Cookies are small pieces of information which use a unique identification tag and are stored on your device as a result of you using this website or other service we provide to you. When cookies are used by us, they collect statistical information about how you use our services. Most internet browsers are set up to accept cookies. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you may be able to change the settings of your browser to refuse all cookies or to have your computer notify you each time a cookie is sent to it, and thereby give yourself the choice whether to accept it or not. However, this may impair the quality of the services that we provide to you in relation to your account.

10. Security

Quant FX takes security very seriously to protect your personal information and ensure it is not accessed by unauthorized persons. Our website is built and hosted via Framer, which receives and stores submissions made through our contact form. Our security is deemed via their practices, so please see their privacy policy and website for more information.

11. What are your rights?

You need not give us any of the personal information requested by Quant FX. However, without that information, Quant FX may be unable to provide you with any other services, information or assistance you have sought. Should you have any questions or complaints about your privacy please contact us. If a complaint is not resolved by Quant FX to your satisfaction, you may complain to the Information Commissioner.

Under data protection legislation, you have (subject to certain exceptions) the right to obtain copies of any personal information which Quant FX holds about you and to inform Quant FX of any inaccuracy. Any information held in relation to your account with Vantage is governed by their privacy policy so please contact them.

If you have a request, please contact us to obtain a subject access request form.

We may charge a nominal fee to cover the cost of verifying the application and locating, retrieving, reviewing and copying any material requested.

12. Your consent

By accessing this website or other service we provide to you, you consent to Quant FX collecting, maintaining, using and disclosing personal information about you and provided by you or by another person as described above.

13. Amendments to policy

Quant FX may make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason and will notify you of such changes by posting an updated version of this policy on this website. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this Privacy Policy and if you use this website or other service we provide to you after any changes are published, any such use shall constitute your agreement to those changes.

Cookie Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how Quant FX (“Quant FX”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them.

It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we handle your personal data.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used.

Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by third-party services we use to run and improve our website. Those third parties handle any data they collect under their own privacy policies.

3. Your consent

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may only place cookies on your device with your consent — with one exception. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function are exempt and do not require consent.

4. The types of cookie we use

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and secure. They support page delivery, protect our contact form against automated abuse, and remember the cookie preferences you have set. These are always active and cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors find and use our site — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, and where they arrived from. These are set only if you accept them.

Functional cookies support features such as embedded content, where we use them. These are set only if you accept them.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell data about you.

5. Which cookies are set on our site

We keep the number of cookies on our site to a minimum and use only the services needed to run and improve it.

6. Analytics that do not use cookies

Our website platform provides built-in analytics that work without cookies. Your IP address and browser details are hashed together with a secret that rotates daily and is then deleted, so nothing persistent is stored on your device and you cannot be tracked between visits or across other websites.

Because these analytics store no information on your device and cannot identify you, they run whether or not you accept cookies.

7. Third-party services

Where we use third-party services on our website, those providers may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection terms, and we do not permit them to use your data for their own unrelated purposes.

8. Managing cookies in your browser

You can control cookies through your browser settings — including blocking them entirely or deleting those already stored. Blocking all cookies may affect how parts of our site work.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our use of cookies changes. The current version is always published on this page.
